An educational and cultural tour to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri was organised by the Springfield World School at the start of the new year 2023 for students from classes IV and VII. With 50 students, 10 faculty members, 1 school nurse, and a tour guide, the tour commenced on Sunday at 6:00 a.m. from the school campus, in Vidisha. On reaching Agra, they checked into a hotel and later headed to Fatehpur Sikri, where they visited the beautiful tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti and the Buland Darwaza in Sikri. The next day was followed by a visit to the world-famous wonder of the world, the Taj Mahal.
The trip was fun-filled, informative, and educational for the students. They had an amazing experience watching the magnificent architectural beauty of the Taj. Later on, the students became acquainted with architectural styles, traditions of the Mughal Empire, and the histories of Emperor Akbar, and Shahjahan.
