On January 29, 2023, Sharanya Narayani International School (SNIS) will host a virtual/physical on-campus marathon (run/walk) to benefit Karunashraya, a Bangalore-based hospice trust. This is the fourth edition of the highly anticipated Run for Care; as in the previous three years, SNIS will continue to support Karunashreya this year as well.
Run Objectives
The run is being held in support of a good cause. The goal of this run is to raise money for organisations like Karunashraya and others that aid those with terminal cancer, as well as to donate to those who are beyond hope of recovery. Karunashraya will receive the funds raised by the marathon.
Bangalore Hospice Trust – A joint initiative of the Rotary Club of Bangalore, Indiranagar and the Indian Cancer Society (Karnataka Chapter), Karunashraya offers advanced-stage cancer patients who are incurably ill free professional palliative treatment. They strive to make patient and family quality of life better. The primary goal of Karunashraya is to provide compassionate palliative care through high-quality medical, emotional, spiritual, and social support for patients with life-limiting illnesses and for the people who matter to them.

Flag off Timings
Flag off timing: 10k run – 8:00 A.M
Flag off timing: 5k run – 8:10 A.M
Flag off timing: 3k run – 8:20 A.M
Flag off timing: 5k & 3k walk – 8:30 A.M
Race distances are as follows: 10K Run, 5K Run, 3K Run, 5K Walk, 3K Walk
Event location: Sharanya Narayani International School, Bangalore – 563130 OR Run Virtually (Participants registering for a virtual run can record their run/walk using a mobile phone and apps such as Strava, Garmin, Nike Run Club, Run Keeper, and others, and upload the details using the link provided after registration).
Participation fee: The registration fee for all race categories is Rs 699/- per person.
Last date of registration: Registration will close on January 28, 2023.
Please Note: All enrolled participants who participate in the live event on the SNIS campus will receive a finisher’s medal, event T-shirt, en-route hydration, medical assistance, free parking, and a hot breakfast after the run.
