A spacious air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 120 and highly advanced acoustics, at school. “Seeing is believing”. This multimedia theatre provides a perfect backdrop for the child to not only read the curriculum but also see it come alive in this multimedia theatre.

Co-curricular activities are indeed very essential at RMKRSSS because we believe that learning is much more than just instruction, books, and classes. We place a strong emphasis on a child’s whole development because we recognize that school is the time in a child’s life when their future is most influenced.

The curriculum at RMK is created with a child’s whole development in mind. The classroom serves as the nerve centre for activities aimed at developing and grooming tomorrow’s leaders. The integrated curriculum emphasizes not just academics, but also the qualitative development of each kid.

Music

At RMKRSSS, we teach students the various forms Western and Indian classical music. To encourage every student to learn and master at least one musical instrument and take part in the events conducted at school. 

Arts

Art is regarded the mirror and measure of civilization by society’s best thinkers. And, without a doubt, when we consider the breadth of human creativity exhibited via various art forms such as dance, literature, music, theatre, and so on, we can’t help but understand how important art is for each individual’s healthy growth.

Dance & Drama

Theatre workshops enhance the performing and communication skills of every child. The open-air amphitheatre helps them demonstrate these skills effectively. Under the guidance of professional dance teachers, we conduct workshops and classes for the children to learn and appreciate Indian and western dance forms.

Yoga

The school provides the benefit of yoga and meditation to bring about a consciousness of self and surroundings, improve concentration, and relax the mind. It is also made compulsory and a part of the daily routine of the students.

Hobby Centre

Hobbies are windows to see one’s personality. At RMKRSSS, we have introduced a system that helps us identify the student’s innate talents, which lie hidden without the appropriate exposure. Hobby hours includes various activities, such as dance, music, sports, yoga, art, etc. The students are allowed to follow their field of interest after identifying their aptitude in the field and through the guidance of the coaches.

National Cadet Corps

RMK Residential School is host to a JD unit of NCC. The NCC unit, which is under the armoured corps division, is functioning well, and our cadets have earned a good name for themselves in the various training camps. Our NCC cadets regularly undergo training in the CATC, RDC, and other camps, which makes them physically and mentally tougher and instils a higher sense of duty to the nation.

Interact Club

The school’s Interact Club plays a pivotal role in nurturing social responsibility in our children and provides avenues for them to contribute to less privileged members of society. Among their notable activities, this year were the visits to Annai Satya Orphanage, Kosapet, and Anandha Illam, Periapalayam.

RMK Residential Senior Secondary School is a co-educational international boarding school located in Kavaraipettai, Tamil Nadu, India. A lush green campus spread over 46 acres reflects our commitment to providing the best for our students who are away from their homes. It is at a distance of 35 kilometres by road from Chennai.

The residential school is affiliated with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and has students of varying backgrounds from different parts of the sub-continent and abroad. The school was guided and established in 2007 by our chairman and former member of the Legislative Assembly, Shri. Munirathinam, with a dream to create centers of excellence in education at all levels.

Go-karting, horseback riding, billiards, swimming, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, cricket, chess, yoga, music, and painting are among the school’s extracurricular activities.

  1. The school admits students from Class 5 onwards.
  2. The parents/guardian are welcome to visit the campus and converse with representatives of the school at any time.
  3. The school prospectus and application form can be obtained from the school.
  4. A preliminary test/assessment would be conducted forwards with the respective school representative before admission.
  5. Admission will be based only on merit.
  6. On confirmation of admission, you will be required to submit a transfer certificate if applicable, a copy of an original birth certificate, and other documents with the school.
  7. Weeklong boarding is available as an option for students from Chennai and Thiruvallur Districts only and classes 5,6,7 and 8. Students of other locations will have to choose only full boarding.
  8. Full boarding for classes 9th to 12th.

We do admit children during the middle of the academic year in the same class in which the child is studying in the previous school.
