LIS is another name for Lakes International School. The institution opened its doors in 2001. Co-ed, day-and-night, residential boarding school Lakes International School is a member of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Karan Education and Social Welfare Society oversees its management.

Since the dawn of time, its mystique has captured the attention of human imagination and inspired images of paradise. As depicted in the PURANS, this is the lake town of Bhimtal or BRAHMA SAROVAR. One of Kumaon’s largest lakes, Bhimtal, gets its name from the mythical Pandava Prince BHIMA and Lord Shiva. In May 2001, Lakes International School, Bhimtal was founded.
The institution’s contribution in just a year has been remarkable, and it has become one of the top residential co-educational institutes connected to CBSE, Delhi.
