The introduction of new technological platforms that allow professors and students to share material from anywhere in the world, e-learning has gained traction. When the unthinkable became attainable, when a continuous level of learning made changing educational patterns simpler, there were no restrictions. E-learning encourages students to obtain essential resources through mobile, educational platforms, and peer group learning.

LIBRARY

The library contains 18,000 books, newsletters, periodicals, newspapers, and journals that inspire pupils to learn and read.

The library also has access to internet databases, allowing students to review e-books.

CAFETERIA

The cafeteria is an important part of the school campus, serving excellent, balanced, and healthful home-cooked meals to all students, day scholars, faculty, staff members, and visitors.

HOSTEL

Good Shepherd offers a home far away from home in a healthy environment. Providing:

 

  • Separate place of stay for Boys and Girls monitored by experienced Wardens.
  • Resident tutors, teachers, and counsellors monitor the studies of the hostellers to prepare them and give valuable advice and support.
  • Each hostel has a specific area for study, an Audio/Visual entertainment room, and indoor games facilities.
  • Rooms and toilets are cleaned regularly and fumigated.
  • The hostel is guarded and monitored by cameras 24*7.

TRANSPORTATION

The school provides a safe and secure transportation service, with a fleet of 27 buses delivering 2000 students to and from all Changanasserry stations and to remote locations. The bus is driven to predetermined destinations by well-trained employees, who are accompanied by nannies who monitor the students’ seats and safety.

PARKING

There are plenty of parking spaces for guests and parents at the school. Cameras and security personnel monitor the parking facilities.

Parents and visitors who come to the school must register their names and explain why they are there.

SAFETY, SECURITY & SURVEILLANCE

Good Shepherd is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all the children in the school.

To ensure the safety and security of children: –

  • The school takes utmost care in maintaining high standards of hygiene on school premises.
  • The school campus is monitored with 70 plus CCTV cameras which vigilantly monitor the entire campus.
  • No visitors are allowed to enter the premises without proper verification and identification.
  • Ex-army officers and personnel guard the campus 24/7 as per the rules and guidelines.

EVENTS AND PROGRAMMES

Every year, the school hosts a variety of activities and initiatives. These events are organized by designated student bodies and teachers, and students will be communicated with via WhatsApp groups, e-mails, and classrooms. During the continuing academic semesters, inter-school, state, and national level events are held.
