PROFILE OF THE SCHOOL
The DPS school is a day-cum boarding school which accommodates more than 9,500 students. The school has three different sections for Junior’s and Senior’s in Vasant Vihar, East of Kailash, R. K. Puram.
They also have established schools in abroad in Nepal, Kuwait, and Indonesia. With the support of the Government of Haryana, they have also developed 3 schools in the rural areas of Mewat to expand their teaching skills.
The aim of the school is to teach the life-long intellectual and practical skills to students so that they can be confident enough to meet the future challenges.

The motto of the school is “to open doors and open minds” and to make the students capable enough to face the challenges coming on their way.
CULTURE OF THE SCHOOL
The school has a healthy atmosphere which motivates students to develop and discover their hidden talents through which they can gain confidence, develop creative ideas, get directions which motivates them to become great personalities in life.
The school does not discriminate on the basis of caste, creed, religion, colour, and race which is proved as they provide education facility to those children who cannot afford to go to school either due to financial circumstances or due to some other reason. All these qualities lead to the growth of the school.
As the school is also affiliated to IPSC, they are also in touch with the various schools like Mayo College, Ajmer; Scindia School, Gwalior; The Doon School, Dehradun; Bishop Cotton, Shimla Hills; St. Xavier’s and La- Martiniere, Calcutta. This shows their strong bond of brotherhood.

Curriculum
Students of class 11th and 12th are prepared for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination. The school offers following subjects to students-

RANKS AND HONOURS
DPS does not believe in ranking the students but they believe in their percentile ranking as it plays a major role during college admission. The students who score 80% or above are honored with the ‘Scholars Badge’, those who score 80% and above for the three consecutive times are honored with ‘Blue Blazer.’ Students who score 80% and above for the three consecutive years are honored with the ‘Blue Tie’ and if they score 80% and above in their graduation are honored with the ‘Gold Medal.’
INFRASTRUCTURE
The infrastructure of the school contains-
School Block
The school has been divided into the different number of blocks as A- Block, B- Block, C- Block, D- Block, E- Block, F- Block, HS- Block, HB- Block, Circular Block, and Blossoms Block.
Laboratories
The school has two different laboratories i.e. Technological Labs which deals with Computer, Robotics, Maths Lab, Web Resource Centre and Electronics Lab and General Science Labs which deals with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology.
Libraries
They have two different libraries for Seniors and Juniors which contains varieties of fiction and non- fiction books, journals, magazines etc.
Hostel
The school has separate hostels for girls and boys which are maintained by wardens. It is under CCTV surveillance 24*7.
Activity Rooms
They have the separate room for creative activities like Batik, Commercial art, Sculpture.
Sports
The school provides various sports facilities like the football field, basketball court, cricket pitch, swimming pool, table tennis, karate.
Delhi Public School was established in the year 1972. It is being run by the Delhi Public School Society. It is affiliated to C.B.S.E. which is recognized by Department of Education, Govt. of NCT Delhi, and the Govt. of HRD, Govt. of India.
