About School:
Co-educational boarding school Coorg Public School (COPS) is associated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). Located in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, COPS was established in 1996 by Professor M.D. Nanjunda, a distinguished academic. In 2005, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, then-President of India, presented him with the National Award in honour of his remarkable contributions to the field of education.
Co-educational, non-sectarian, residence school founded under the guiding principle of “In Pursuit of Excellence.” It now draws students from around the nation and beyond. By “infusing ethical ideals into the learning experience and moulding pupils with knowledge and wisdom that surpasses all religious barriers,” the school hopes to achieve its goals.
Since its beginning, Coorg Public School has distinguished itself by producing exceptional academic performance. Excellent achievements in the ICSE and II PUC Board Examinations have been made possible by a carefully structured curriculum and regular evaluation. Students are encouraged to develop an independent critical attitude to learning in the COPS atmosphere, which fosters a good work ethic. About 90% of their former students have enrolled in professional programmes at reputable universities, and many have travelled abroad for higher education and have been hired by global corporations.
