FACILITIES:
COMPUTER EDUCATION
Every effort is made to provide students with information technology training starting in class IV in order to keep up with the advancements in this field. The school’s computer network assists students in gaining current computer knowledge. The centre functions as an online encyclopaedia, catering to both students’ and teachers’ inquisitive needs.
LIBRARY
The school has two well-stocked libraries. Enough books, periodicals, newspapers, and magazines are provided to help students cultivate their reading habits and to become updated in respect of information and knowledge. Students are encouraged to borrow books to read in their spare time besides the allotted library periods in the school routine.
TRAINING LEADERSHIP
Students are encouraged to participate in school management and are expected to shoulder responsibilities by holding various assignments in Class, Mess, and House. It assists students in developing self-confidence and leadership skills for future endeavours.
SECURITY
Identity cards are issued to parents/guardians to ensure the safety of their children. Only cardholders are allowed to enter the campus and meet their wards, according to the security guards. Visitors are only permitted to roam the campus with the permission of the Principal/Director.
HEALTHCARE CENTRE
The Health Care Centre on campus looks after the students’ health. The medical needs are met by a Resident Medical Officer and two qualified compounders. There is also specialised consultation available. Health screenings and medical consultations are provided at no cost.
HOSTEL (HOUSES)
- Ramkrishna, Vivekanand, Raman, Dinkar, Renu, Bose, Aryabhatt, Kautilya, Rajendra, Nalanda, Vikramshila, Takshshila, Shastri, Nehru, Tagore, Gautam, Mahavir, Guru Govind, Dhruv, and Saraswati (Only Girls) are among the twenty houses that house approximately 1200 students.
- Each house is prompted by a Housemaster, who is directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the houses.
- Houses are well-designed to make students feel at ease.
- The housemaster’s quarters are attached to the hostel.
- The Housemasters make efforts to have boys and girls share some responsibilities related to their House.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES TRAINING IN LEADERSHIP
The all-around development of students’ supplementary education in an organized manner is imparted through activities. On Saturdays, various activities such as cultural programmes, literary activities, quizzes, movies, and so on are organised to foster inborn qualities and instil affinity for our country’s cultural milieu.
FINE ARTS AND MUSIC
Music and art education are required for students in grades IV through X. Aside from drawing, they are taught watercolour and oil painting, among other things. Depending on their interests and abilities. Classes in vocal music, instrumental music, and classical dance are available for students who are artistically inclined.
YOGA
Yoga is compulsory for all students. Once a week, mass yoga is practised during the game period.
GAMES AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The school provides a wide range of physical activity training to help amateurs realise their dreams and develop their hidden talents. Physical Education is part of the curriculum, and special coaching is provided after school hours for Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Handball, Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Athletics. All students must participate in games and physical education.
