Smart Class
At the Summerfield School, teaching and learning have gained a new dimension with the introduction of the Smart class DTS for all subjects, from Nursery to 12. It was among the first few CBSE schools in Dehradun to provide innovative learning-in-class facilities (Smart classes). Science Laboratories
The Science Stream exists at the Senior Secondary level, so the school has fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology Labs, as per CBSE, Delhi norms.

The mission of the school is to educate the children of martyred, disabled, serving, and retired soldiers from the Indian Army and paramilitary forces. We believe that with the proper guidance, these children will grow into confident young men and women.

Summerfield School believes sports are essential to forming leadership qualities in young minds. Thus, physical fitness is emphasized. Sports like football, basketball, handball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, athletics, yoga, and martial arts are all available. The school has a talented team of PTIs to train young athletes. Students are encouraged to participate in CBSE cluster and zonal level games and sports.
Literary and Cultural Activities
India has rich folk music, dance, arts, and crafts traditions. Students are constantly introduced to these art forms to develop an understanding of Indian heritage and culture. The school patronizes SPICMCAY, which regularly brings in world-renowned artists and performers from various classical music and dance forms. A yearly event called The Evening of Song and Dance features the students performing a variety of folk music and dance styles. So apart from that, the students are involved in staging plays and participating in literary events such as debate, declamation, recitation, and public speaking. Exhibitions are held to display concepts and models created by students themselves.
Adventure / Educational Activities
Being in nature and nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas provides ample opportunity for treks through the forests and mountains, as well as leisurely picnics by the river. Students’ holidays are spent exploring nature or even being escorted on excursions to the areas of various scientific research organizations/museums.

The summer field school campus is set in sylvan surroundings on the western edge of the Doon Valley, tucked between the Garhwal range of the Himalayas in the north and the Shivalik mountain range in the south. “Just 1.5 km away from the Yamuna and its sparkling glory.” It is near Mussoorie and Chkarata, the two most popular hill stations in Uttarakhand.
