HOSTEL

Dormitories that have been thoughtfully created offer enough workspace and seclusion at the same time. Residential students are accommodated in three dorms. They serve as the boarders’ home away from home and are staffed by wardens and support personnel. Students in classes three through twelve have access to residential facilities at St. Anthony’s School during the academic year. The dormitories are roomy, comfortable, and shared in order to promote socialisation and emotional and mental health. The way of life in the hostel is much more structured. Children pick up the habit of living systematically.

Children who live in hostels are more likely to make new acquaintances and are therefore nearly never alone. Additionally, it enables kids—especially introverts—to step beyond of their comfort zones and forge deep connections. Hostel living is advantageous for learning since it allows kids of comparable ages to form groups, solve each other’s problems, swap books, and other activities.

Dining Hall

The dining area is large enough to encourage a love of eating well. All of the boarders can eat together in a large, well-lit dining hall. It is the only location where boarders congregate and eat hot, wholesome meals prepared in the school kitchen. It is kept clean by a manager and support personnel who closely adhere to the laws of hygiene. The purpose of staff is to guarantee that the pupils eat a balanced meal and follow proper dining etiquette. Additionally, it fosters good communication among the pupils and helps to forge bonds between them.

INFIRMARY

The safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our top priority at St. Anthony’s School. To manage and assess any health issues that may emerge during or after school hours, a skilled and experienced visiting doctor as well as a trained, well-seasoned nurse and her assistant are accessible on campus. Students are transferred to the closest hospital in the event of an emergency requiring medical attention, and parents are notified of this.

Every student has a health record that is updated each term with their height and weight. Thus, physical development can be observed. To put it another way, the infirmary provides immediate medical attention, prompt first aid to avert emergencies, and initial emergency care to stop a crisis from getting worse.

The ambition of four visionaries was realised on March 13, 1991. Their foresight and dedication to education culminated in the opening of St. Anthony’s School, which is located on National Highway 55, 2 km from Kurseong Town, and has a large campus with views of the Rohini Valley and Giddapahar on one side and the Himalayan Range on the other. The esteemed institution is tucked away in a calm, evergreen, and verdant setting where the wards can take in the scenery and engage in their scholastic pursuits while surrounded by nature.

Boys and girls from residential and day schools are both accepted to class 3. They have been training for the ICSE and ISC Exams for many years. The teachers encourage the kids to pursue their interests and participate fully in their education. They are inspired to think for themselves, take on difficulties, and cooperate. We think that a successful lifelong learning journey is built on a foundation of opportunity and nurture.

  1. At St. Anthony, we spend a significant amount of time getting to know our wards and recognising and appreciating their worth. We do this while adhering to a specific philosophical approach .
  2. We need to pay attention to their physical characteristics, actions, or conduct in the natural environment.
  3. We must take into account their reasoning and thinking, both in terms of form and substance.
  4. In teaching and learning, we must be aware of these emotions and the attitudes that accompany them.
  5. We must acknowledge the motives, assessments, and choices that people make before acting. These prompt consideration of accountability, honesty, and responsibility.
  6. The facets of character, personality, creativity, and ideals that go beyond our analytical categories must be examined. We are obligated to value each person’s distinctiveness and originality.
  7. Both in individual classes and across campuses, we are highly intentional in the educational decisions and practises we employ.
