S. M. Batha High School was established in July 1922 by the late Hirabai and Shavaksha Batha, a very dedicated, committed, philanthropic couple. Their goal was to give Parsee girls a quality education for the least amount of money possible. They wanted to equip the youngster to contribute to their family’s financial security as well as raise her to be a wonderful housekeeper.
On Chesson Road, they started off in a Springfield bungalow, which they later enlarged to accommodate more kids. This organisation used to go by the name Zoroastrian Young Women’s Education Home, or Z.Y.W. ED. HOME. Later, they opened the doors of this institution for boys and children of all castes and creeds.
S. M. Batha High School is a Residential Co-Educational Institution, located in Panchgani, India.
The school is spread over a 42-acre campus comprising woodland and a plateau with several school buildings, playgrounds, athletic tracks, a camping site overlooking Krishna valley, and other scenic spots. The school infrastructure provides a boarding facility for girls and boys in an environment conducive to their overall development with a prime focus on good health, safety, and security.
