Sports
Sports including cricket, football, chess, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, kho-kho, and athletics are given great priority to students. Students receive specialised instruction in various sporting competitions before competing at the zonal, district, state, and national levels, winning numerous medals and trophies each year and bringing pride to their schools.
NCC
Rayatians are accustomed to learning outside of the classroom. RIS thus joined the NCC wing in 2013 and is now a component of the 23 PB BN NCC Ropar. Junior Division (JD) places for boys and girls are reserved under NCC 100 Cadets. NCC students participate in a week-long camp every year where they are taught a variety of skills such as shooting, drills, cultural activities, personality development, etc.
NSS
RIS also oversees the NSS, which teaches students how to cultivate a feeling of social and civic responsibility within themselves. Various camps are also attended by our students. NSS students place a specific emphasis on promoting cleanliness and teaching people how to maintain their own hygiene in rural areas. Additionally, students organise a variety of marches and street performances, such as those for Save the Girl Child, Anti-Tobacco Day, and How to Save Water.
The English-medium, co-educational Rayat International School is affiliated with the CBSE. On the Ropar-Jalandhar Highway, 6 km from Ropar, is where it may be found at Railmajra. It is one of the nearby areas’ newest schools.
