BOARDING
With a focus on academic success and internal growth, Mariagiri boarding for boys and girls beginning in fifth grade aims to build the personality. Students are given individualised attention in their academic work and extracurricular pursuits under the direction of the Boarding Rector, Rev. Fathers, Sisters, and other professors. The children are able to develop a personality that is intellectually, physically, and spiritually healthy thanks to the nice and cosy campus.

The Mariagiri E.M.H.S.S. has offered a range of co-curricular activities for the kids to support a child’s complete development. The co-curricular and intramural programmes at Mariagiri School have been thoughtfully and methodically arranged. They are created and put into practise in order to reveal and develop the childresns intrinsic talent and potential. Co-curricular activities are extremely important since they help pupils develop holistically. A discussion, quiz, extempore, declamation, elocution, anchoring, solo song, choir singing, theatre, music, dance, and other cultural and literary activities in both English and vernacular languages are organised throughout the year to foster talent and foster leadership potential.
Through inter-school competitions and other programmes, the talented individuals receive good exposure. Through clubs like Jr. Red Cross, Science Club, Literary Club, Photography Club, Arts Club, Wild-Life Club, Cultural Club, Eco Club, Dramatics Club, Yoga Club, Music Club, etc., students’ intellectual capacity and awareness are actively encouraged. The introduction of adventurous courses like mountaineering, camping, scuba diving, parachute jumping, river swimming, trekking, and horseback riding is imminent. The NCC will soon take shape, and the school is currently enrolling its children in Scouts and Guides. Additionally, we have a student band squad that is led by a talented bandmaster
Any one of the required extracurricular activities, including karate, yoga, dance, guitar, organ, violin, vocal music, etc., is required of students in grades I through X. After lectures, students have access to extra facilities for sports and games. Activities in the arts and literature are often planned. Additionally, we shape the students’ participation in events and contests at the district and state levels.

A hub of global knowledge rooted in Indian culture, a college that encourages students to climb across Kerala’s high mountain ranges during the monsoon. The classrooms, which open onto a garden of flowers and pine trees, are a place brimming with the pleasant, smiling faces of youngsters. Descriptions go on forever. It is in Peerumedu, in the Idukki region, at an elevation of 3500 feet above mean sea level, and it spans more than 7 acres, providing a lovely setting that is favourable to learning.
The school currently provides a distinction as a “Excellent Institution” of the Knanaya Community that is unmatched. Mariagiri School was founded in 1966 by the renowned Rev. Fr. Thomas Choolaparambil and Excellency Mar Thomas Tharayil and has a long history spanning more than 50 years.
HE Mar Mathew Moolakkatt Archbishop of the Arch Eparchy of Kottayam currently oversees the institution with dynamism. The school is led by the principal, Rev. Sr. Thomsin SVM, with assistance from the effective and devoted academic and administrative personnel. It is managed by the Education Agency of the Arch Eparchy of Kottayam.
