To meet the requirements of the Dharwad area’s local residents, DIS was founded in 2014. The goal of DIS is to offer top-notch instruction and recreational opportunities for a child’s holistic development as a person. We are a secondary-level CBSE-affiliated English-medium institution. It is 830829, our affiliation number. We have more than doubled in size since the school’s beginning, and DIS is now home to more than 300 children. Our student body is varied, with speakers of more than ten different languages on campus. English is the language of instruction, even though we promote our linguistic and cultural diversity.
Our Sports Education Programme

We at DIS have firmly incorporated sports into our curriculum since we feel that they are an essential component of the educational process. Our Sports Education Programme (SEP) places a strong emphasis on the growth of knowledge, attitudes, and abilities in relation to a variety of physical and health-related activities. The program’s objectives are to encourage students to: learn about body control and spatial awareness; master new skills and techniques in a variety of physical activities; manipulate sports equipment or apparatus; recognise the value of fair play and sportsmanship; comprehend how strategies can persist when participating in physical activities; use cooperative behaviours to function as part of a group or team; and take the necessary safety precautions when engaging in physical activity.
The school supports a variety of sports including swimming, basketball, football, volleyball, chess, handball, netball, taekwondo, cricket, table tennis, and badminton thanks to its courts and sports infrastructure as well as knowledgeable professional trainers. Additionally, the students have the chance to partake in a variety of recreational activities such as yoga, aerobics, sports, and fitness.
