FACILITIES

  1. Dining room: Spacious, airy, clean, and well-maintained. There is a provision for keeping the food hot, as the climate is cold. How and filtered hot and cold drinking.
  2. Kitchen: Spacious, hygienic, and tidy with all modern amenities. A nutritious and balanced diet of cooked food with utmost care and love for our children.
  3. Food: Tasty and wholesome food for breakfast. Lunch and Dinner. A Mess Committee is made of students and staff to chalk out the menu every month. We do food waste management through the popular bio-compost method.
  4. Book Shop: The academic block of the school includes a bookstore where all necessary academic books, notes, and stationeries are available for the students.
  5. Tuck Shop: Apart from the bookstore, a tuck shop is also accessible, where students can get snacks and toiletries.

LABORATORY

A particular area is allocated for all the specializations, which include Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Biology Lab, Mathematics Lab, Social Science Lab, Computer Lab, and Language Lab for English & Hindi.

Each of our laboratories is well-equipped with apparatus, glassware, tools, and chemicals to encourage hands-on learning and support each student’s project work. Our laboratories provide students with their first hands-on experience, as well as encourage them to gain knowledge.

LIBRARY

Our library is well arranged, with more than 10000 books of various categories, 4500 reference books are also available. The library has subscribed to 30 magazines and 6 newspapers, which help students stay up to date with events from around the world and discover and explore new career avenues. The library is fully classified and cataloged.

CLASSROOMS

Technology always enhances the learning process and enables the same to reach its utmost development. We at BGV enhance our classrooms with interactive smart boards to make teaching and education an engaging and interactive activity.

Co-Curricular Activities

Students at Bhavans are encouraged to explore their natural skills, while also following their academic interests. In a residential school, co-curricular activities keep things moving. It also helps to build a sense of competitive spirit, cooperation, diligence, and team spirit.

The CCA Department conducts various inter-house competitions every week. These competitions help kids gain confidence and allow them to discover and display their hidden skills. Our kids compete in a variety of competitions at the district, state, national, and international levels. Inter-House competitions such as Quiz, Debate, Elocution, Footloose, Turn Coat, Just-a-Minute, Spell Bee, and Dumb Charades are conducted regularly.

BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN’S GANDHI VIDYASHRAM was formed in 1938 by Kulapati Dr. K.M. Munshi, a farsighted visionary and practical idealist, with Gandhiji’s blessings and with the inspiration of other leaders of the freedom movement, including Shri C. Rajagopalachari, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.
