MESS ARRANGEMENT

Only students who are dayboarders in grades I through VIII are given breakfast and lunch. The donated food is made in the school kitchen under the supervision of a culinary supervisor and a mess manager. The meal is wholesome and healthy. The cuisine is created with the help of a nutritionist (full-time dietician appointed in the school). We serve catering that is on par with home cooking. Only vegetarian cuisine is offered since the nutritional value of the meal serves as the foundation for responding to the children’s taste. The fruit is a delicious addition to the Day Boarding students’ daily diet and is given to them every day at break time (11 am).

Co-Curricular Activities

DANCE & MUSIC

As boys and girls are introduced to classical Indian dance, including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, and Odissi, a big hall reverberates with the sound of ghungroos. Hip hop and jazz are two contemporary dance genres that are introduced.

ART & CRAFT

The students in the art room are seated comfortably around a huge low table that is encircled by benches on all sides. They have access to facilities where they can learn a variety of arts and crafts, including knitting, needlework, photography, batik, tie-dye, block/roller/screen printing, painting, and drawing.

SWIMMING POOL

Alma Mater’s pool measures 25 by 10 metres. The school takes pride in being the first organisation to have a pool. Our half-Olympic pool is a local favourite. As the first swimming pool in a school in Bareilly, it was inaugurated in March 2003.

SPORTS

The school places a high value on physical fitness and employs both the traditional yoga system and the contemporary aerobics and gymnastics systems. The school is also proud to field some of the best teams in sports like Taekwondo, swimming, cricket, football, athletics, lawn tennis, and basketball. The school offers a special form of exercise that includes postural analysis, correction of flaws, and development of strength, speed, flexibility, and neural coordination.

To meet the academic, vocational, co-curricular, and career needs of the students in Bareilly and the surrounding townships, the “Alma Mater Educational Society” was founded. The Society created “Alma Mater Kindergarten” in 1988 on rented property with a view to attaining the aforementioned goals, and it progressively evolved up to Class V. The building of its facilities at Kurmanchal Nagar, Pilibhit Road, BAREILLY was commemorated by the 1993–1994 Session. This was made possible by the unwavering support of the parents of our beloved pupils as well as the diligence and commitment of our talented teachers.

Alma Mater Day-Cum-Day Boarding Senior Secondary School, which serves students in grades pre-K through 12, is a typical day school connected to the CBSE. Alma Mater has also created extra Day Boarding Sections at the Primary & Middle Levels (Class I to VIII), which gives us enough time to meet our students’ academic, vocational, co-curricular, and physical demands.
